Naval Career
1955 – Boot Camp in Bainbridge, MD
            Aviation School in Norman, OK
1955-56 – Attended Aviation Electronics School in Millington, TN
1956-57 – Transferred to VP-2 just prior to deployment to Alaska, became the Radar Operator in Crew 11.  We survived an earthquake on Adak and a lot of bad weather and icy runways.
1958-59 – Deployed to Japan in Crew 8. On our way to Japan our plane broke down in Hawaii and we got to spend two unplanned weeks in paradise.  Unfortunately, we ran out of money in short order.  But it was still great.  In Japan we visited the Hiroshima War Memorial and went on R&R in Hong Kong.
1959-63 – Inactive Reserves
1963 – Discharged from Navy

Work History
1959 - Employed by AT&T in the New Haven, CT area as a Communication
Technician, a Staff Assistant in charge of budgets and training, and as a Testroom Supervisor.
1968 - Transferred to the Northeastern Area Regional Headquarters of AT&T and had assignments as an Internal Auditor, Personnel Supervisor, Building Operations Manager, and Regional Security Manager.
1985 - Transferred to Corporate Headquarters, assigned as Support Service Manager in Fairhaven, MA responsible for provision and all support services including environmental control, electrical power, emergency power and development of emergency procedures in what was the world’s largest corporate data center.
1995 - Retired

Education
1962 - Graduated from the University of New Haven.  Associate of Science degree, Personnel Administration.
1968 - Graduated from the University of New Haven.  Bachelor of Science degree,  Business Administration.

Family
1960 – My wife, Ann and I were married in March.  Through the years we had five children, two girls and three boys.  We currently have eight grandchildren, six boys and two girls.

Hobbies
Golfing, skiing, camping, bowling, traveling, mountain climbing.  Attending and working on church activities, and attending our grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.
