| The site of
the Whidbey Patrol Squadron Memorial is Veterans Memorial Park in Oak
Harbor, Washington. The park is a small plot of land on the bay
side at the east end of Pioneer Way close to the Seaplane base portion
of Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island. The map below shows the location,
followed by a brief history of the Naval Air Station and a bit about
the island. Access to Whidbey Island is via a ferry from Mukilteo
to the south end of the island, or via the Deception Pass bridge at the
island's north end. |
